The Origin Story
It started with a late-night game jam entry that never got finished. JustAFrog sat staring at a half-built prototype, frustrated not by the code, but by the isolation. There was no community cheering from the sidelines, no deadline that felt real, no one to share the struggle with.
That night, the idea for FrogPad was born — a platform where game developers wouldn't just compete, they'd belong. A place built on the belief that creativity thrives when people build together, not alone.
What I Believe
Ship Over Perfect
A finished game with rough edges teaches more than a polished prototype that never sees daylight. Deadlines force decisions, and decisions make developers.
Community First
Every feature on FrogPad is built around people, not metrics. If it doesn't make the community better, it doesn't ship.
Grow In Public
Mistakes are part of the game. FrogPad encourages sharing work-in-progress, asking for help, and celebrating small wins along the way.
Accessible By Default
First-timers and veterans sit at the same table. No gatekeeping, no elitism. If you can dream it, you can jam it.
The Journey So Far
The Spark
First game jam entry submitted — unfinished, unpolished, but unforgettable. The idea for a better jam platform takes root.
FrogPad Alpha
First prototype goes live with 12 participants. Bugs everywhere, but the energy was electric. The Discord server hits 100 members overnight.
FrogJam Season 1
First official FrogJam season launches with monthly events, cash prizes, and a growing roster of sponsors. Teams form across continents.
The Platform
FrogPad.Dev goes fully public — job board, blog, asset library, and the most ambitious jam season yet. This is just the beginning.
